For over ten years, Medical Center Diagnostics has provided patients with excellent, affordable imaging services at our convenient location in Covington, Louisiana. 

MCD provides state-of-the-art diagnostic services, including MRI, CT, Ultrasounds, X-Rays, Digital Mammograms, DEXA/Bone Denisty scans and PET scans.

Cardiac PET

Medical Center Diagnostics is one of the few in the southeast able to offer this service at present time due to the location of the Cyclotron (dose manufacturer). Advantages of the N-13 Ammonium Pet Myocardial Perfusion Dose Imaging include:

  • A higher myocardial count rate that allows better image quality.
  • Less than 10% of radiation exposure compared to SPECT studies.
  • Improved patient comfort including ability to scan patients with their arms down.
  • Attenuation correction, which considerably reduces false-positive studies.

Open MRI

An advanced diagnostic imaging procedure that creates detailed images of the body without the use of radiation (X-Rays).

Claustrophobic, obese, and pediatric patients, along with those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome are often able to comfortably undergo MRI examinations in our open air design, with minimal noise, which eliminates the need for earplugs or headphones.

MCD offers great cash prices, close convenient parking and minimal wait time. Most of our services can even be scheduled for same day appointments. Our modalities have accreditation from ICA or ACR, our technicians at MCD have over 100 years combined experience and our radiologists are board certified.
