X-Rays
Note: For any X-ray procedures, please advise the technologist if you are
pregnant, and/or diabetic, if you are allergic to latex, or if you have other allergies such as iodine, seafood, or have a previous reaction to a contrast injection.
These services are often walk-in examinations. No appointment is needed.
Many
of our referring physicians send patients directly to our office for convenience,
therefore we do not require appointments on our general x-rays (ex:
chest, hand, foot x-ray, etc).
Our board of certified
radiologists will read and interpret your images and get the results to your
doctor in short order.
Duration: Can range between 15 and 90 minutes depending on the procedure(s).
Specific information will be given when a patient is being scheduled.
Preparations
No preparation is required prior to
this test.
Gastrointestinal
Studies of the gastrointestinal tract usually require oral administration of liquid contrast material, usually a solution
of barium. Studies of the urinary system require injection of X-ray
contrast material, a clear dye which contains iodine. The patient will usually
need to undergo special preparation for these exams in order to insure a safe,
high quality procedure. Specific preparation instructions will be given to the patient
when scheduling takes place.
